Software Blog: XNeat Windows Manager
XNeat Windows Manager is a small application that adds a lot of functions to your taskbar, toolbar, and right-click context menus. For example, you can right-click on any windows and change it’s transparency; minimize it to taskbar, or hide it.
First, let’s talk about transparency. You can change the transparency of individual windows and applications. You can have it set so when you hover your mouse on that window, the transparency goes back to 0% with a nice fade effect.
You can also change the transparency of your taskbar. In the image below, the transparency is set to 90%, so I get to enjoy this beautiful wallpaper.
Another cool feature is that you can send any program to the taskbar. It comes in handy when you have many windows open and are running out of space.
But perhaps the most used function is going to be the “hide window” feature ;] Say you’re looking at some… uh… sites or folders, but you have to leave you’re computer for a second. Now, you can either close your everything, or you could simply hide them using this program. Just right-click on the window and chose “Hide Window”. The only way to bring it back is by right-clicking on your taskbar > XNeat Windows Manager > Hidden Windows > and click on the window that has a check mark next to it.
You can also remove items from your taskbar. Items such as the Start button, clock, and System Tray icons. It’s a good way to mess with somebody else’s computer, no?
XNeat Windows Manager is a nifty little program that works on XP and Vista. You can download it here.
