We all do it. You buy a game, play it for a while, and then leave it to eat dust. Let’s be honest with ourselves: sometimes you lose interest. At least it happens to me. I have a lot of games I didn’t finish; some have already been traded-in for something else *cough*DMC4*cough*, but some I kept hopping I get around to finishing them.

You traded IN DMC4? Are you insane!? Great action game is great!
I see you have ZoE1 there. I swear to you, you can finish it in one sitting. My clear time was 4 hours. You can finish it in 3 if you move fast, easy.
Wait, Ico AND SotC unfinished!? You shame me! Though not when it comes to Persona 3, because I’m not done either.
I haven’t finished a ton of games. Just looking in my case, I see: Star Ocean 3, Xenosaga, Devil Summoner, SkyGunner, Odin Sphere (REPETITIVE!!), Galerians: Ash, Front Mission 4, .hack//Infection, Panzer Dragoon Orta (though I’m at the end), Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Call of Duty 4 (online’s more fun for me), Rainbow Six Vegas (same as COD4), Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, Riviera: The Promised Land, Megaman ZX (working on it now), Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble, Final Fantasy III, Vagrant Story..

I can absolutely understand the DMC thing. Killing the same demons in badass ways can only keep my interest for so long (even though I beat 1 and 3, I only finished them because I was thinking there would be more. Fool me once…)
I had ZOE2. I think I was at the last boss and I could not beat him, he just kept running away. I failed so many times I just didn’t care anymore.
In my current collection I have only two. Resident Evil Code: Veronica (will finish) and Resident Evil: Outbreak (highly unlikely).
I think most of the time if you lose interest it’s not worth wasting your time forcing your way through a game that you really don’t care to play.

I don’t remember Anubis ever running away at the end of ZoE2. I remember him Zero Shifting and blasting massive red bullet things at me, though.
That boss fight was so epic. Damaged Jehuty vs. a full powered Anubis.
What comes after that is also extremely awesome.

That is, unless you actually ment ZoE1.. But he didn’t exactly run away there, either. YOU had to run away, because he could kill you extremely easy. Pretty anticlimactic ending, but still cool.

To my defense, Shadow of the Colossus gave me motion sickness~ I really loved climbing the colossi, but the horse riding was a pain.
I picked up ICO just this summer because I heard it’s good. Somebody traded it in (I was working at EB that time), so I bought it for $20 or something~

No, It was ZOE2. The fight in Compressed Space, When ever I got near him he would always run away.

I’m working on DMC right now, but it can never hold my attention very long. A few games I’ve yet to finished include Gran Turismo 4, GTA: VCS on PSP, RE0 and a few others.
I actually have been doing well on completing all the games I own. I was able to finish FF12 and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door lately.

oh boy, unfinished games, dont have too many, but some rpgs stop me in my tracks. THE SECOND I LOSE TO A BOSS THAT I WAS FIGHTING FOR 40 MINS. STRAIGHT, INTEREST GONE!!!! And how can you not finish bully?? THAT GAMES FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

I don’t finish most of my games. A game has to be really special for me to keep my interest long enough to finish it. Most games aren’t very special.

God, I thought I was alone in this. Most of the games I own are unfinished or unplayed. Twice I’ve played FF8 to the fourth disc and have yet to complete it. Haven’t started FF10, 10-2, or 12 yet…still need to finish Kingdom Hearts then start and finish KH2. Thanks to you all, I don’t feel like such a gamer bum anymore.
