Went to my local Borders today and was shocked to see this in the “New Releases - Fiction” section. It was mentioned sometime ago (I think it was during the MGS 20th Ann Party), but I had forgotten that Konami was releasing a novel based on the first game. The price is $12.95 from Borders and it has 320 pages. More pictures after the jump~

I wonder how well it follows the plot. And I wonder how they work the boss battles in and stuff.
I’d actually like to see how it plays out in the book. I might go pick it up.

I don’t read normal books…I might get it if I see it just to have it…

Spim Ransley only reads hardcovers, and he hates it when bookstores attach stickers to book covers.
Also, Spim Ransley always forgets to type in the security word when leaving a comment, and always ends up having to re-type it.

This is one book I’d actually read all the way through. I’ll keep an eye out next time we go to Borders or Barnes & Noble.

I picked it up on Saturday. I told my wife I wanted it as an anniversary gift (8 years now). I’m about half way done with it, where Snake beats Psycho Mantis. It takes a weird turn here, but I think the Digital Graphic Novel did too. All in all, a very easy read so far. So many memories coming back as I read it.

I only played the original game for the PS1 three years ago, so it should be fresh in my memory.
