In episode three, we see Vincent falls (jumps?) down from the Dome. In this episode, Vincent and Pino are taken in by a small commune, the inhabitants of which make a living off the refuse dumped from the Dome. Meanwhile, Raul plans his move to locate and capture Vincent.
This episode starts with Re-l searching through Vincent’s home. She notices that everything in his house is paired - in other words, he has two of everything.
Meanwhile, Vincent is dreaming. This dream (or maybe I should say “nightmare”) sequence pretty much sums up the important things that happened in the previous episodes and tells us a little of what happened after Vincent jumped down from the Dome.
During this time, Re-l finds the corpses of the second Proxy that attacked her in episode one (and later, attacked Vincent in the mall). She informs Daedalus (the medical chief who has a crush on her) about her findings and makes him promise that he’ll analyze the Proxy and report his findings to her. I should mention that every time Re-l is talking with Daedalus, she acts weak and vulnerable in order to have him do what she wants. She plays him like the fool he is.
Vincent finally wakes up from his nightmare. An old guy named Hoody was taking care of him all this time. Hoody is the leader of the Commune, a small settlement right outside the boundaries of Romdo. They’re made up of people who were either banished or left the dome. He tells him that he’s been fighting the virus for ten days. According to him, majority of the people who go outside of the dome become infected and most of them die within a week. Vincent was one the lucky ones who’s body fought off the virus with the help of Hoody’s medicines.
We are introduced to the Commune people and their way of livings. They basically live off the waste (most of the waste in perfect condition though) that Romdo throws away. One of the main characters of this community is Quinn. She is considered weird by the other members because she wants to leave Commune and go live someplace else. She’s working on a wind-powered boat-like vehicle that would take her to a city. She has a son named Timothy who becomes friends with Pino.
As Vincent was talking to Quinn, a flying drone comes to patrol the area. Quinn tells Vincent to hide and explains that everyday these patrol bots fly around in a fixed rout. As long as nothing out of the ordinary is here, these robots won’t do anything. During this time, Vincent sees the robot go towards Pino who was playing around on the waste field. Quinn tries to tell him that the robots don’t see AutoReiv’s, but it’s too late. Vincent already destroyed the patrol drone to save Pino.
We see Raul looking at the last sent video of the patrol robot. He recognizes Vincent and orders his Entourage, Kristeva, to tighten the security, but not to inform the Council, Re-l’s grandfather. Seems like he has his own personal agenda.
