Ergo Proxy: Episode 05

Re-l braves the outside world in order to bring Vincent back to Romdo. While there, Raul commences his plan to capture Vincent by attacking the Commune with patrol drones. Re-l’s environmental suit is damaged and Vincent is injured in the attack. Re-l suspicions are confirmed that there is a link between Vincent and the Proxies.

Things are heating up in the Commune. Thanks to Raul, the number and frequency of the patrol bots have increased and as the result some of the members of the Commune have been killed. The rest of the Commune members are blaming Vincent and want him out of there.

Hoody comes to Vincent’s rescue by making a huge lie saying that Vincent is a revolutionary and is part of a resistance that’s going on at Romdo right now. Being bunch of naive fools, the Commune believe him (except Quinn) and leave Vincent alone. Hoody also tells them that he’s been negotiating with Romdo all this time; he says that Romdo is on their knees and wants the Commune members back (lies!).

A few minutes later, a space vehicle from Romdo appears. Believing it’s a negotiator, the Commune take this person to Hoody. But this person was not here for Hoody, but for Vincent. Turns out, the “negotiator” is actually Re-l who came to take back Vincent. She came here, not because she was ordered, but because of her own personal motives. She wants to find the connection between Proxies and Vincent. I should mention that Hoody was pissed since Re-l wouldn’t take him and the rest of the Commune members back to Romdo.

The patrol drones come back and are attack the Commune again. Timothy, Pino’s friend, along with many others die during this attack. Re-l and Vincent were also attack while they were going to Re-l’s ship. Vincent fights back, but falls down from a cliff. Re-l’s electronic system was damaged, so she fell on the ground and couldn’t move. She sees Vincent fall, but as soon as that happens, a Proxy-looking figure flies back up and destroys the patrol that was about to attack Re-l.

Re-l has no choice, but to takes off her space-suit (she’s wearing one because the atmosphere outside of the dome is poisonous to those who are are from Romdo City). She rescues Vincent who passed out after he fell and takes him to Hoody’s. But before she could do anything else, she collapses.

Pino dives in water to show Timothy what she can do, but as soon as she dives, a drone flies behind Timothy and kills him.
