The trio reach the devastated Mosque, Vincent’s home city, and find that the truths lead back to Romdo.

This was a great episode! I was really into the show while watching it (unlike some of the previous ones *cough*gameshow episode*cough*).

After a flashback where we see a missle (kinda like the one we saw at the end of the previous episode) hit a city and fire burn everything down. An unkown figure (looks like Ergo Proxy) is holding a pendent and crying. Flashback over and we see Re-l, Vincent, and Pino finally arrive at Mosque, but the place is burnt to the ground. Vincent suspects that the light they saw in the previous episode was the cause of it, but Re-l points out that the ruinds and the damages look much older than that.

Upon arrival, Vincent feels sick. He’s not well, so Re-l suggests he goes back to the ship while she and Pino look around. Meanwhile, Raul, who was captured last episode, is being questioned by the Regent. Even though he’s the one in handcuffs, he’s talking back and questioning the Regent’s purpose, but as always, the Regent doesn’t answer his questions. Rather, they order Kristeva to free Raul and re-assign him as the Cheif of Romdo. Reason behind this is that Raul’s action in episode 17 was to protect Romdo and its people, and not a selfish act.

Re-l and Pino find the city’s main tower and go inside. Re-l notices similarities between this tower and the one her grandfather, the Regent, lives in. She tries to imagine what had happened to the cities Proxy, Monad Proxy, whom Ergo Proxy killed in second episode.

Back in Romdo, Raul has a little chat with Daedalus regarding a new project. As he’s leaving the lab, Raul sees a young girl who looks like a young Re-l. Always knew Daedalus was a freakshow.

We see someone who resembles Ergo Proxy/Vincent walk into a room where an AutoReiv named Amnesia is keeping Ergo Proxy’s memories safe. The myserious figure then smashes the walls (where the memories were written) and destroys the AutoReiv. Scene changes and we see Vincent waking up from dream. Pino and Re-l are on the ship too; they were waiting for him to wake up, so they can go to a locked room they just found.

This is the same room we saw earlier where a Proxy killed the AutoReiv. Vincent says that he’s been there before, but can’t remember anything else. Re-l’s looking at the walls where she sees a familiar message: Awakening. After a little bit of talking, they realize that in order to find the truth, they have to go back where it all started: Romdo.
