Hi all. Joined a few days ago thanks to SirBogi. I also know fellow members el rafeki and Baberific. We go back a long way.
Im glad to find a forum where i can share my interest in anime and perhaps makes some friends along the way. I used to
use boxtorrents and their forums but was dissapointed with some recent revelations regarding that site.

Let me tell u a little about myself.
Im heavily involved in torrenting and hav ties to various trackers and their communities. I used to be a big gamer but have
become dissillusioned with the current state of gaming. As far as im concerned, early 90s was the golden age for videogames,
especially with big hits like FF6 and chronotrigger. Last great game i played was Portal.

I love anime but find it hard sometimes because of the overwhelming amount of material out there.
To give u an idea of my taste i really dig:

Im a pretty chilled guy...perhaps too chilled for my own good lol. Im honest and beleive stongly in a sense of loyalty and kinship. Im constantly editing
and re-editing my comments...probably becuase what i knew then is certainly not what i know now. I truly beleive we re constanly changing
even if you dont see it yourself.

Yes...it was. Great Castelvania's. Great RPGS. Mario's golden era. No ridiculous fixation on space marines and gore...

I concur. Older anime is where it's at. There is too much samey generic stuff that simply lacks the character some of the older stuff had...

lol...dont get me started on castlevania. Loved the original castlevania on NES and its sequel SQ. Perhaps SOTN was one of the greatest but then that kind of makes me think of SUper metroid for some reason ;) Another classic.
Nice selection of anime there. Im not familar with Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, Kodomo No Omocha and Cardcaptor Sakura. Will hav to check it out when i get through my existing pile of anime. Currently watching "Noein."

Check out their album "end titles...stories for films" Look out for the track "against the grain" Just quality. If your in europe spotify has most of their work.

Nothing...but what IS wrong...is that most games now use that as a substitute...for actual gameplay...or story.

The attitude now is "WE ARE M FOR MATURE! THEREFORE OUR GAME IS GOOD! IT'S HARDCORE!"

But a game like Super Mario Galaxy can come out...with no blood or gore...and be 10 times better then any of those "Hardcore" games.

Ive not read the manga or finished the new series (half wayish) so i shouldnt really comment but i know what i like. As for what i do...my
exp is in sales. From Retail to Telesales to Lettings. Thats seems to be the progression. Ive taken it as far as i can go in my mind and
considering doing something noble like working for Amenity international. Will see...

Hey dude. We all have to start somewhere. It took me a while before i settled. Even today, i dont consider myself that experienced.
Always something to learn. I do enough to get by. You ll either love or hate "akagi" Its that kind of anime. I loved it. Especially the
soundtrack. In fact its the only anime soundtrack that i felt compelled to snatch.

Im very familar with 1up. I used to subscribe to EGM's magazine way back. I considered it one of the most important sources of gaming info
and respected the reviews for the most part. I have a few gaming news sources i use on the internet and 1UP has been there since its
launch. How about all that commotion when Ziff Davis decided to sell off the site. Sucked!

Oh yeah i forgot. For those wondering, my user name "Rubicant" is based
on a boss character from Final Fantasy IV. It left a lasting impression
having been the second major Roleplaying exp after FF Mystic Quest.
This is going back to 1993. Ancient history lol

I just sold my DS and considered buying the remake of FFIV but i just
cant play these RPGs on a small screen. Im gonna start looking into
emulation on pc. If it works out, you might not see me for weeks :P

Yeah, theres some really imaginative user names and avatars on this site.
Might be a good time to brush up on my PS skills.
