Anybody here read this series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kick-Ass)? Is it any good? Should I make a long-overdue trip to the comic shop in order to try and score a couple of issues? Gimmee some impressions, please!

I don't know much about comic, but I do know who Mark Millar is. What have you heard about this comic yourself? What is it about?

Only as much as the wikipedia page says (click on the words "this series" in the original post). It sounds pretty, well, kick-ass. But comics are expensive these days, and I'd probably rather wait for the TPB unless it's truly AWESOME.

TPB = Trade Paper Back... It's just all the individual issues collected into a nice-looking, bigger edition. Usually cheaper in the long-run, too. Oh-- and you can stand it up on a bookshelf! (a big plus for me)
As for how much the individual issues are, well, probably not much. 3 bucks, maybe? Who knows? What I do know is that it takes maybe 5 minutes to read a comic, so you've gotta ask yourself if that was 3 dollars well-spent, or would it be better to save that money for a different form of entertainment? Such are the questions facing the entire comics industry these days...

I think I've heard Kick-Ass was pretty good, but I'm not sure.
I hear Mark Millar is a total ass.
