Well, current time in my area, 10:03 PM of December 31st, 2008. Waiting for new years to get here. This past year has been great, I've joined the best forums I've been on, and I am glad that I've met these awesome members of Foxkei. While Foxkei was down, during Christmas, I got 5 presents from my family. Cowboy Bebop Anime Legends DVD Set, some Old Spice Deodorant and Cologne. Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories for PS2, a magazine, and $100.

I'm planning on using the $100 to buy a new Home Theater system.

Having no family around my area is kinda depressing, and I wished that my whole family from the Philippines was here to celebrate the New Year. This upcoming year, I plan on finally getting my GED, so I can get into a decent college. I'm about 4 years late, due to taking care of my sister, and many different complications.

Anyways, a few days after Christmas, my family and I went to China Town, LA. Bought about 2 dozen of these awesome Siopao (Bun with some filling of meat). Ate at an awesome dim sum place, and the only thing that pissed me off in China Town was this one particular store. The sales lady, was quite rude. There was this Keychain that I was going to buy, but I had no change for it. It's not like I'm gonna use my $100 for a $3 keychain. Then the damn lady thinks that I stole the keychain. Excuse my language, but I told the bitch she can fucking search me if she wanted to. She then tells me and my sister to get out of the store. So I said, fine, keep your fucking keychain. The thing that pissed me off the most is that my sister was right there with me. Why would I steal a damn keychain that's only $3?

About today, well we went to the mall, and I had a chance to buy the hyped up game "Persona 4." I still haven't had a chance to start it today, cause I felt like staying on Foxkei for the new years. They also had a Buy One Get One Half off in Waldenbooks for Manga's and Graphic Novels. There was this one thing I wanted to get, DC Vault, but I didn't cause I really want to save it for the Home Theater system.

To conclude this log, I'm very fortunate to have found this place, and I consider it as a place that I can talk about my personal life without any criticism of any sort. Long live Foxkei, no matter how many times we will have to restart.

Happy New Year's to all of Foxkei.

Cowboy Bebop is always a good thing. I'm glad I found this place, the best forum I've ever been on, and met you. I hope you enjoy Persona 4, because I sure do!

Well said my man, well said. Although you'll get nothing but flak from me if you continue to play these Persona games.

...

No, I'm kidding. The games just don't appeal to me is all. I'm much more into Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

New Years Day, Jan 1, 2009.

Slept around 2AM, woke up around 7AM. As usual New Years Day has always been quiet, not much cars going around since they are either still sleeping, or have a headache due to hangovers. I sure wish I had some alcohol yesterday. Today I slept around 3PM right after I watched the 2 Part episode of "Jupiter Jazz" in Cowboy Bebop. You gotta love the song in that episode "Space Lion." Started P4, and passed the 2nd level in KH:COM.

Nothing interesting happened today, just the same regular routine of mine. I should start studying for the GED though. I also need to register so I can take the test this coming February. Thing I don't like about taking the test, is that there is a fee of $120. I'm afraid that If I don't pass, I'd have to cough up another $20-$25 to retake it.

Conclusion:
Today was a slow ass day, with just non-stop gaming, napping, eating, and cleaning up the house.

EDIT: Foxkei is gonna be slow again (in activity) when you guys go back to school and such... :(

Good luck on the GED. I thought it was going to be comparable to the SAT, but it's actually quite a bit more challenging. Having to shell out $140 for it doesn't exactly soften the blow, either.

Just keep on studying and I'm sure you'll do fine.

I played Chrono Trigger for 4 hours in a row. Anyway, good luck on the GED.

Reading WM's latest blog about how he found Foxkei, made me want to talk about how I found this beloved site.
Having watched some Mobile Suit Gundam right before finding Foxkei around June 2008, is responsible of me joining it. First is I see KomodoAce browse Foxkei from time to time, so I asked. "Do you mind If I join that forum?" Another reason I joined up is Heiae's Char avatar, I believed that Heiae was a Gundam fan as soon as I saw Char. Which was very true. So that made me create "Amuro Ray" as my username, and having a Amuro Ray avatar, etc. That seems to be the story, nothing that interesting.

Anyways, yesterday, I went to PetsMart and Circuit City. PetsMart was pretty awesome, looked at some cats. One cat was really wanting me. Geez, staring at me like that, I pet it a couple times. His name was Boots. I would've gotten him If I had lived in my own apartment, but alas I couldn't. Leaving that cat there, with him staring at me constantly was hard. I had to go, so we went to Circuit city and looked around. I saw these Samsung 5.1 Surround sound system for $89.97 open box though. Also played some Guitar Hero World Tour, "Eye Of The Tiger" on easy.....since I didn't know easy was gonna be boring as hell, I end up trying every instrument, drums, Bass, and Electric Guitar. I didn't get a chance to play any game yesterday since I was watching some Azumanga Daioh, and Cowboy Bebop.

Now I'm gonna see what will happen today. Perhaps I'll start studying? Most of the time though, my brain is like doesn't want to function. With this headache at the moment. I'm not sure If I'll start today. I have this book on the GED and the only subject I have problems with is Math.....as usual. I hate math, especially the calculus and equations.

Also, having no access to a stable internet connection, I cannot log in to PSN, and rock with you guys in SFIIHDR. Hopefully we can get it up and running sometime today.....Hopefully..

Conclusion:
Study My GED with this headache? Or Play some FO3, P4, TOE, or SO:FD?

I'm glad you joined Foxkei. I didn't know you got your name from Mobile Suit Gundam until a couple months ago. It shows you how much I know about the Gundam series.

Hey, at least you played Eye of the Tiger instead of "Satch Boogie" by Joe Satriani. I've seen one of the people on my floor play it on Expert and the solo is killer. He's really good at the guitar and the only reason he made it through the song was that he had enough star power.

My advice: study for the GED now, play later.

I won't be able to go on PSN after today until March. Until then, train hard!

Alright WM. Thanks for the advice. I'll start studying this afternoon.

Studied some math on the GED book yesterday. Damn, It's hard when I haven't did this type of stuff for about 5 years. The process of adding, multiplying, dividing, etc. Fractions is a pain in the ass, or at least because as I said in the above statement, I haven't done this type of math for a long time. I then again studied a little more this morning, still having some slight complications on how to do these little fractions.

Speaking of yesterday, I never got a chance to fight Heiae in SFIIHDR. Only Hero, just once. After a while Heiae left, since he said "I was fed up." Today's the last day for most of the Foxkei dudes for freedom from their studies. I'm currently uploading some pictures for the Foxkei gallery. Oh yeah, I played some Tales Of Eternia last night before going to sleep. I finally beat that hard ass boss, and now I gotta find some type of orb.

That's all at the moment.
Can't think of anything else to type about....

Today was a good day, until the past hour. I heard a loud bang in the garage. Looked inside, to see that it was the damn garage door. The Torsion spring at the top of the door decided to snap. Bullshit, can't open the door without having to carry the shit. Heavy as hell, and our car is stuck inside. I can't seem to find any Torsion springs to buy in Sears, or Home Depot. So I may have to end up calling the damn landlord since we are only renting, the idiots need to fix this crap immediately.

If we are talking about the thing I'm thinking about [I'm thinking about one of the springs (most doors have 2), that help lift the door].

How much did it cost? I think it was around $75 and took about a week to get here.

Can't remember that well though, it was about 2 summers ago.

You should get up there and check it.

I thought ours was all one, but it was actually 2 separate ones.

And we are talking about the same thing.

It's not a cheap fix. I know that.

Installing them isn't that hard though. It's more or less just tightening bolts.

And the torsion spring is different from the extension springs. Torsion springs are harder to adjust and according to some websites I've read in the past 20 minutes, you can maim or even kill yourself due to the tremendous amount of force in a torsion spring.

I hate this crap.

It is a glorious day, our spring has been repaired. The repair dude called around 2PM and arrived around 4:30PM. At least we didn't have to pay for it, the owner paid for it.

After that 4.5 magnitude earthquake last night, our family had some talk about moving, for we know that there will be a bigger one in the future. So I'm guessing that I won't be able to take the GED just yet. If I did take it, and then we had to move, I have no idea how I can retrieve the GED Diploma if we were in another state. So, I have no idea if I'm gonna schedule the test yet or not.

It's a sad day today for me and my sister. Our anime store.......has closed. Which means I will not have any place to go shop for my anime merchandise needs. The DVD's are fine, I can always buy them at a Best Buy, or FYE, but I can no longer buy action figures/statues, Anime/Video Game soundtracks, Gundam Models, and various items that I have always cherished in that store. Damn you recession.

Also, to make it a little bit better, we went to another anime store, which is about an hour drive from my place. I bought Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu for only $44.99. Is that a good price?

WanderingMind
01-25-2009, 05:47 AM
$44.99 is a really good deal compared to other boxsets or anything that was released under the Bandai Visual label. To give you an idea, a DVD of Gunbuster costed $39.99. To give you an idea of how much it was a rip-off, there were only two episodes per DVD and no dub. I bought it anyway because I'm a really big Gainax fan.

Don't count on Best Buy for your anime needs anymore.

Yesterday was a very tiring day for me Foxkei, my family and I went to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. First ride we went on was.....the merry go round hahahahah I'll never post that picture. The animals I saw were 1 Cheetah, about 4 giraffes, 3 lions, 3 Rhinos, 4 gorillas, 1 tiger(They Only had one), Ostriches, deer, antelope, and a whole bunch of different type of birds. The big cats were boring as hell, all they did was sleep. Walking for about 3-4 hours on just Cracker Jack and water was alright. It was alright, I wish we had more time to go around. I'll post some pictures I took on here sometime today.

Later after the long walk, we left around 3PM, damn traffic on the 215 N got us hungry and stopped at a Sizzlers around Murrieta Hot Springs. Steak, french fries, unlimited salad bar, and ice cream was the best. As soon as we finished, went back on the 215, yet there is still some traffic. So we end up arriving here at home around 6PM. Long ass drive. All in all, it was fun and tiring.

Got back home, and had to change a tire, after that. Watched a few episodes of Lucky Star then went to sleep.

Math was never my strong subject. I've forgotten a lot of it since I last took a math course a year and a half ago, but let me share some advice: the more stuff you can solve without a calculator, the faster you will get through the problems. I never took the GED, but that strategy worked for me on the ACT.

April 2, 2009 (Philippines) 6:47AM

The trip from LAX to MNL was quite a tiresome one. I had only about 20 minutes of sleep on a 13 hour flight, and had an extra hour on the next connecting flight. Movies I watched on the plane: Max Payne, and two Korean movies. (One which had a really cute girl which will be my avatar soon). Arrived in Incheon about 7:10PM but boarding time was at 7:25, so by the time we had gone through security and walked about for 10-15 minutes most passengers were already on board the plane. As much as I wanted to go Duty free shopping in the awesome Incheon International Airport, I had no time to do so. Walking by all those electronics was tempting me, but I had to contact my family back in CA. Try using a payphone that was kinda too high tech and had tried to use my AT&T phone card I had purchased in LA. Tried on 3 payphones but the call didn't go through, so we ditched and went in the plane. For some reason they downsized the aircraft. It was supposed to be an Airbus A-320, but instead was an A-310. Landing was smooth, if only I had a camera, there was some awesome lightning going on our right side before we landed.

Arrived in MNL at about 11:10PM due to some delay of circling around the airport. Tried calling again from the payphones to my family, but only had about 1 minute of talk. The damn AT&T phone doesn't work over there, but luckily I had some pesos from the last trip we had here in the Philippines. After talking for a few seconds, everyone has to get to baggage claim. Having only 4 luggage with us, it was pretty quick to retrieve them. They were all near each other on the carousel. The airport was so damn busy at 12AM, so many people and traffic.

The driving over here is so hectic, the traffic in LA doesn't have anything as bad as the stuff here. (Hero can back me up with this) As usual the trip from the airport to our house was a long one, but something weird happened on the way home, there was the short bridge which had only like 2 lanes, and a cop car and a black car stopped our car for about 3 minutes..the cops didn't get out of the car or anything they just stayed there. Then they left, but disappeared out of nowhere later on.

It has been about 2-3 days since I have arrived here. Jet lag is such a pain, and adjusting to the time here is harder than usual. Today we plan on going to S.M (A Mall over here) and plan to do some good ol shoppin, gotta get a SIM card, and a battery for our cell phone, speakers and a webcam for the Laptop, and my brother is gonna finally meet with his GF that he has been talking about before on here. I gotta buy something for my sister, and she has been bugging me to buy a Gundam model for her, hehehe, I'll see if they have any here, and perhaps will buy one for myself.

Also since it was April fools day here yesterday, I had my fun with my aunt with a fake spider that my uncle had given my cousins before. Put it on her shoulder, and even gave a scare to my grandma a little too. haha

I'll keep everyone updated on our lil vacation in the hectic and awesome city of Manila, Philippines.

Anyways, about the girl, she's been a longtime family friend. I haven't seen her since I was like 12 years old so, well. Dang, she has gotten incredibly beautiful when I saw her again for the first time. I went out with her twice only though during my 2 month stay over in the Philippines. Which is kinda crappy, but at least I got a chance to see her again. 1st get together was casual, got some ice blended coffee, talked a little and such. 2nd time we got together was better, hell I even sang for her in a Karaoke joint haha. Since I knew it was going to be the last time I saw her during my stay. I decided to get her a gift, a little teddy bear that's holding a little heart and has a message on that heart.

Picture, here it is...

Feb 2 2010...

Dang it's been a long long time since I've posted a log on here..Having been in the Philippines for up to Oct 2009..Lots of things happened including being in a flood in the house..no where to sleep except a bar chair. That was an interesting occurrence..

As you all should know by now.We are in Longwood FL..a couple months ago Komodo and I was working at A Chick-Fil-A..which was near SnakeEyez..The only time that we could have had a chance to meet we find it out a couple weeks after we leave to get in a CNA training thing..The whole CNA thing isn't going anywhere though..so I applied at various places..

One place I'm waiting for a reply for is as a Sales associate in the wizarding world of harry potter theme park that will be opening in Universal Studios this spring..That would be a nice place to work at..

Personal life..stuff that has been keeping me away from Foxkei..since I've left the Philippines with my cell phone on Roam..I can receive txts from certain people that have meaning to me in my life..nd going to keep the communication going..Its been going pretty well..been going for almst 4 months.Nd I think I'll keep the details to myself about this.Haha..

I've been collecting the new "Blackest Night" series of Green Lantern comics.Im up to issue 6..Im missing issue 5..forgot where I put the damn thing..Got the Green Lantern rings..Keepin that in their respective plastics..Gaming..I haven't really much gone into it as much as I was before..Occasional MW2 nd Tekken 6 on PSP..With Anime..I have really got to update myself..Last anime I watched was Episode 4 of Gundam 00 Season 2..I'm currently reading Vagabond..

On Another note..I've lost so much weight when I was in the Philippines and now I'm maintaining my weight..I still would love to lose more weight. But kinda hard especially here in the US when "High Fructose Corn Syrup" is in every single thing I see..Even in regular white bread..

I could keep on going with various things that has happened whyl I was away..but I have no clue if anyone would be interested in it.

I may or may not be as active as I was once before here..But I'm glad some of u have not forgotten me. =)

Sorry for some grammar issues nd spelling..I'm kinda used to it due to texting a certain someone everyday..haha..

Ah, that explains it. I noticed it when you started posting again the other day. I thought to myself, "Dang, when did he start using Internet shorthand?" but didn't say anything because I didn't want to be rude. Texting will do that to ya, I suppose.

And yeah, we did kind of miss our chance to meet up in real life, but who knows -- there may be other opportunities down the road.

Good to hear that you're alive and well, at any rate.

Well Foxkei, It's definitely been a long time since I've ever posted here. I've come back a few times, but never stayed for long. Perhaps this time I'll stay on here for long? You'll know if I stay or not.

Anyways, I've gotten myself a job at Disney's Hollywood Studios. After applying at Disney around August of this year, I get a call 1 month later. Got an interview, but had no available positions immediately. Which had me wait another 2 months to get another call. Work at "Sunset Ranch Market", 2 places there, Fairfax Fare, and Hollywood Scoops. If any of you Foxkei guys want to get in a park for free and is heading down to the Orlando area, I can get 3 of you in a park of your choice. SnakeEyez, since you are in Jacksonville,if you ever come down over here man, give me a holler. I'd gladly get you in a park or anyone as I said a while ago.

Thanksgiving week was my starting week, and damn. That was a pain. So many people, so many orders of ice cream. I have to hand scoop each order, thus my wrist is getting messed up more and more. Thankfully the weather has gotten cooler, so I hope not too many people will be ordering ice cream in the park. The other restaurant I work at has Ribs, chicken, BBQ Pulled pork, etc. Knowing that I'm working on Christmas day and a couple days before Christmas. I know it's gonna be one hell of a week next week.

Enough of the Disney stuff, I've pretty much finished Christmas shopping, but might buy a couple more stuff for the family. If I knew about the Gift exchange on here, I would have joined in. Oh well, there's always next year.

Got myself a netbook for my birthday earlier this year. Acer AspireOne, not too shabby. Portable, and lets me do some simple things. No CD/DVD Drive so can't really play games. Even though it did have one, I wouldn't be able to play the high-end graphics type games on this thing.

What else can I say since I've been gone..Uhm..well if any of you guys have any questions for me, feel free to ask away. Not sure If I'll stay on Foxkei, can't make any guarantees, but glad to see some guys still on here. Later Foxkei, till next log.

Working at Disney has it's various perks. Tonight I trained some new CP's. College program cast members. Working around 5 beautiful women scooping ice cream is awesome. I'd type more, but maybe when I don't have to work in 5 hours. Lol. I'll update this later Foxkei. Goodnight.

P.S.
Work shoes hurt like hell, with a steel plate inside as an in-sole. Yep. You read that right. Steel plate. And they're mandatory.
