Fire Emblem

I'm a big fan of Fire Emblem, so I might as well make a thread here. Once I'm done with Medal of Honor Underground, I'll do something that I should have done a while ago: finish Fire Emblem 7 for the Game Boy Advance. It's going to be a lot of fun.

I've never played Fire Emblem, but I'm thinking about picking up the remake of the first coming out early next year for the DS.

I'm definitely getting the remake for the DS next year. You should get FE 7 and 8 (Sacred Stones) for the Game Boy Advance if you ever find it anywhere. Both are great games, although I prefer 7 over 8. Sacred Stones has an overworld map and the freedom to fight random battles and to buy items whenever you feel like it, but I feel the more linear layout of 7 works a lot better. Plus, 7 has far better characters than Sacred Stones.

When does that FE1 remake come out? I do like Fire Emblem, and it will be nice to finally see Marth in action.

I own Fire Emblem 7. I like it, although I have yet to finish it. The first time, I had too many weak people who I needed.

I started replaying it again, but am only about half way through. I'm trying to get a character, but one of mine keeps dying.....and I don't want that.

I've never finished the Lagdou Ruins in Sacred Stones without having one of my characters die. I always have trouble with the Draco Zombies on the last floor. Seeing a video of Lyon take all of them on by himself makes it all the more amazing. Heck, you have to clear the Ruins three times in order to unlock Lyon.

Oh, those freaking ruins were ass. I tried to get through them once, but it ended in disaster. I made it all the way to the bottom level with plenty of strong characters left in my group. I got about halfway through the dragons before they decided to gang up on a full-health Ephraim and kill him in one round. And, as you know, if Ephraim or Eirika die, it's game over. That was four hours wasted because Ephraim had to go and get his stupid ass killed. Oh, I was so pissed when that happened. I haven't played Sacred Stones since then.

That's the same reason why I haven't played Sacred Stones in a while.
