Nothing, my urge to spend is fairly low at the moment. There is nothing that I really want right now. Well, at least anything that I can afford. I can always put some money in that Ducati 999s fund.

Bought myself two Gundams yesterday. Dynames for 1,399 PHP($29.26), and Wing Gundam for 1,119 PHP($23.40).
Cheap as hell.
Both 1/100 scale, Gundam Dynames (http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN952244), and Wing Gundam Zero Custom (http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN57137)

well, just bought two random dvds since I decided to load up my capcom unity card again.
One was 28 days later...a film that for some reason, I had some trouble tracking down.
next was shigurui:death frenzy, a 12 episode OVA that I heard has extreme violent content....to the point of madness.
Although....I really should get back into the whole gunam model scene....but the only types I shall ever buy are master grades.....for those takes patience, skill, and a whole lotta cajones.

I love the 28 movies, does yours have the Extreme Alternate Ending? Kind of kewl to check out.
And yeah, I'm loving those shirts I grabbed, I'll probably try to space out wearing them. I'd feel like a tool if I wore my 3 new shirts in my next 3 days at school. But those shoes are wicked comfy, I love 'em. And The Watchmen is great, btw, the animated version of it is basically a direct shot for shot portrayal of the comic.

Yea, I haven't actually seen the alternate endings yet...I heard they are pretty crazy.
But I just bought two volumes of a manga I did not think they would bring to the states.
http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i193/chathamsouth1/Pluto_Vol1_Cover400x574.jpg
Pluto...which is the collaboration between tezuka productions and naoki kurosawa, most famously known for monster and 20th century boys.....is a masterpiece.
This is due to the fact that this manga is a reimagining of astro boy, so osamu tezuka's influence is still there.
Also, since I am a crazy old school/ tezuka fan......this manga has me crapping my pants.

Different times, different tastes, different audiences.
It's all about what appeals to you, or what you can appreciate. I for one enjoy oldies like Astro Boy, but classics are an acquired taste now. Very different from what has become standard.

Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi? Shadow Hearts Covenant? I approve of both. :mew_07:

You could go to a store with the Codec keychain hidden in your pocket, then surreptitiously press it a couple times and crouch down in the corner with your finger to your ear while the other shoppers walk by and give you strange looks. Or you could go shopping with the item keychain in your pocket and surreptitiously press that one when you grab something off the shelf. The fun and excitement will never end.

I don't play as much as I did when I was younger, but it is still fun to get together with people of all ages that like to play, but all the banned cards are starting to grate on my nerves.
Take Sunday for instance. Rained and tornadoed in. So I wasted away the grizzly afternoon with a child's card game.
That and my sister started playing a while back after stealing a bunch of my cards. I still haven't recovered all of them, but she is starting to beat me from time to time. She needed something to help her learn to focus her attention, so I guess a TCG or two otta do the trick. Somehow, I fell proud.

I'm-a gonna get a little detailed here with the latest goodie I bought, if that's okay.
After reading an excellent blog about the Game Boy Advance on 1up and hearing all this talk about DSi and PSP2, I thought, well, shit, I gotta get with the program; I gotta start playing handheld games again. To get myself reenergized with this form of gaming, I decided to head out to Manhattan – braving the swine flu hysteria and all – after work in search of a Game Boy Micro.
I dropped by the 8th St. and Broadway Gamestop. Surprisingly, the store still had a Game Boy Advance section around the counter. I didn’t spot a Micro, so I figured I’d ask, anyway. When I asked an employee -- who was very amiable, by the way -- if they had a Micro in stock, he told me that he sold the last one yesterday. Ouch! I just got kicked in the nads with words right there. So, I asked him if he could kindly check to see if any nearby Gamestops had it in stock. He did that, and after a while he told me that the 34th St. and Broadway GS had it. He then asked if I wanted them to hold on to it for me. I said sure and gave him my name. Afterwards, I said thank you and went on my merry way.
For a brief second I couldn’t decide whether I should walk there or take a train. In the end I decided to just walk there. It isn’t that long of a walk, really -- 10 minutes or so. Besides, it was yet another nice day in NY, so I didn’t mind the promenade.
Along the way, I noticed the Union Square Virgin Megastore had Store Closing signs plastered on its façade. The one in Times Square had already closed down, and it was only a matter of time before this one would too. I made note of its closing, hoping to later on, maybe tomorrow or Friday, score some nifty goods for cheap, as I’d done when the Times Square one closed down (bought BioSock for $26 and FO3 CE for $35, tax included).
Anyhow, as soon I reached the 34th St. GS, I walked straight to the line, not before some GS employee welcomed me to the store. How very amiable Gamestop has become! Hell must be freezing over. When my turn was up, I told the dude that I wanted a Game Boy Micro. He went to one of the cabinets to get it. I wasn’t asked if I was the dude who wanted it held. That’s cool. My egos (I have more than one) didn’t take a hit. I’m a big boy. *Sniff* It took a while before he was able to scan it, but the Micro was eventually in my possession! So, while people were wisely buying a DSi, I was that one idiot purchasing a Micro. And you know what? I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.
As for the Micro itself, it is in surprisingly great condition. Honestly, I’m really taken aback on how well it’s been treated. Only the plate has a few light scratches here and there, but other than that, there’s nothing wrong with it. Now, back to some more FFVI.

If I may ask, why exactly did you go for a GB Micro? Out of all the Nintendo handhelds available to you, how did you settle on an older one like that? Was it the available games? A price consideration? Something else?!
Also, that story was epic. Be sure to tell us what you get from the Virgin Megastore firesale later this week!

Well, a lot of small reasons as to why I bought a Micro.
1. I've always wanted one, and an used one is only 30 bucks at Gamestop.
2. It's very portable. I hate carrying around bulky things, like my PSP and/or my original GBA. I gave away my SP years ago.
3. I'm not really 'feeling' the DSi at the moment. That could very well change if it gets some neat software.
4. (The main reason here). I want to revisit a lot of my GBA games: FFVI, Mega Man Zero, Metroid, Shining Soul, Super Puzzle Fighter II, Link to the Past and so on. As anyone who owns the original GBA knows, finding a good source of light to play a game is incredibly frustrating. So, I needed something else...ergo Micro.

well, because of free comic book day, I went to my local comic book store.
It seems that of course, crap comic books were available for free....so I decided to choose one that was at least of sub-par quality, which was a street fighter Udon comic.
But what I found out a little while later was that things were discounted all across the store...including this bionic commando action figure, these sweatbands, and this sonic boom can.

I just bought a pair of these to start off my dumbbell set, cost me 26 bucks each, FUCK. I'll probably just buy em by increments of 10Lbs(25, 35, 45) to save money.
Heh, buck a pound plus tax. I should get heavier weights I have this 8 pound one kicking around in my room I don't even touch at this point, no resistance.

I bought a movie pack for $15. I bought it for Sleepy Hollow (Love It!) and Sweeny Todd (good too). It also included a movie call Paycheck, directed by John Woo and staring Ben Afleck and Uma Thurman. I've never heard of it and I have no idea why it was included with two Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movies. Wouldn't something like Ed Wood or Corpse Bride make more sense?

I'm saving up for a new Macbook too. Well, actually I'm trying to make a decision between a new Macbook or a new Motorcycle. A Macbook would be real nice and it's closer in reach but, I would really like a new more reliable bike (By reliable, I mean one that works). What do you guys think?

Remember about two or three months ago when I told you that my computer kept shutting off for no apparent reason? You said it might be an issue with the RAM and suggested removing one of them to see if the problem persisted. I took one out and my computer worked just fine afterward, so I'm guessing that's what the problem was. I've just been living with a slow computer since then.
Luckily, when I signed into Newegg, I saw that they keep track of all my old orders. I just looked up the RAM that I ordered last year and got the same thing. Hopefully these will last a bit longer.

My most recent purchase of actual goods was a couple weeks ago. I bought the blue Nintendo DSi. So what separates this particular iteration of the handheld from others? Its got 2 cameras, image editing software, a sound recorder, a sound file editing program, oh, and it can communicate with the Wii. Fancy. It also has an internal storage device as well as a slot for an SD card. The SD card you use on your Wii also works on the DS! Further more, you can download games and such to the DSi just like the Wii. They even give you 1000 free DS points to spend! Talk about win.

Went to Belz outlets and JCPenney today. Bought these:
-Calvin Klein Men's Valet Box-Passcase --$29.99
Actually my gf bought it for me, since I bought her a pair of shoes for her work right before. It's and awesome wallet, it's nice and big and spacious just how I like em'. It's a bifold but with a removable ID case tucked inside. Plus it's got double pockets, great for dividing my cash into spendable and SAVE IT!
Couldn't find a bigger pic btw.
-Asics Gel Enduro 4 running shoes --$39.99
Light, comfortable running shoes. These I actually bought at JCPenney, where my gf works(I thus got a 20% discount on this and the next item btw). I had entered Nike and Reebok in the outlets but I figured I could get a pair alot cheaper at JCPenney, and I did
And they're Asics!
-Lastly a pair of Kiwi Everyday insoles --$18.99(actually $11, store had a $10 0ff special if you spent more than $50, which I did because of the shoes)
I needed these badly for work. My workshoes' insoles suck, and I spend all the time standing and moving around and up and down stairs; so they got even more worn down and uncomfortable. So I got these. Couldn't find the right picture, the ones shown are the Sport ones, the ones I got are thicker for 'Everyday' use.
I also got some notebooks and pencils and other shit for school earlier this week.
P.S. I hate you Fox...

Don't forget that we have a thread (http://www.foxkei.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33&page=14) specifically for recently purchased games. This thread is for everything else.
I went clothes shopping over the weekend -- something I've been meaning to do for a really long time. Spent a good chunk of change, but at least now my wardrobe is somewhat current. I'm gonna plan a trip to the Salvation Army over the weekend so I can free up some room in my closet and get rid of all my old clothes that don't fit me anymore. Seriously, I have some shirts in here that I've owned since I was a young buck in high school. Yeesh.

What Robobvious said. It shouldn't be tough as long as you have a really good partner and know what you are doing.
You know what I got yesterday?
It wasn't Persona 1 PSP, even though it came out yesterday and I preordered it. Nope, it was Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, which I impulse bought on Amazon as soon as I found out it was being reprinted.
best impulsive purchase ever.

Most of my "goodies" have either not been very fun or work related...which also isn't very fun. But about two weekends ago I DID pick up a Ratchet figure (What can I say? I like me some Transformers) and the most recent issue of Nintendo Power. I will be returning some items that we ended up not needing, so I'm debating picking up Drill Dozer again (it's at Wal-Mart for $19.99) or this trifecta of Pac-Man games for the PS2 (also $19.99...includes Pac-Man worlds 2 and 3 as well as Pac-Man World Rally...which is supposedly a mediocre Mario Kart clone, but I'm not super picky so I admit I'm interested).

It turns out that I mistook Catcher in the Rye for another book. I can't remember the name of it, but it had a teenage guy, his crush, and a frozen baby. Weird, I know, but I read it in high school.

Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower,
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing Gold Can Stay.
"Stay gold, Ponyboy."

My new super awesome copy of A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy arrived today!
I love these kinds of printings. It's all the novels in one big hardcover book. It's got a nice soft leather cover and binding and the pages have gold leaf(or fake gold paint or something) on the edges, so it looks very nice closed; plus the pages are nice and soft yet sturdy quality paper.
Yay! Here's the only picture I could find, unfortunately you can't see the pages. as you can see it's called The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide. Funny thing is it arrived two days after I finished reading 1984, which was an excellent book by the way. The bad thing is that school starts in two days, which means less time to read my new book.

Personally, I like the third one the best.
Recently picked up the first re-launch of EGM. I gotta say, it's good to see them back, and honestly I think the "time off" did them good. I don't know if most of this staff is the same guys or brand new fellas, but it seemed to me that the writing has improved drastically.
And really it's just a fascinating issue. The impact of Street Fighter on the industry. The revival of 2D gaming. The future of downloadable content.
It's just a good issue, and a great way to welcome us back. Well done EGM.
