Diablo II is Still Going

Blizzard has considered to support Diablo II even now, almost nine years since its release. And why not? They've created the definitive hack-and-slash dungeon crawling experience. No other game I've encountered has been able to recreate what they have done. Thousands of people are still signing on to work on their javazons and hammerdins now more than ever, because Blizzard will soon be releasing a content patch quite unlike their usual bug fixes. If you still haven't tried the game out, now's the best time. It's less addictive than WoW, more fun, and totally worth the price tag (especially if you grab the battle chest). So put on your Magefist Gauntlets, grab your Occulus' and head into the Blood Moor, it's time to brave the world of Sanctuary once again.

And if that wasn't great enough, we have rumors floating around that Diablo III will be receiving a Christmas Release of December 24th, but we'll see about that in time.

Diablo 2 is fun I guess...but I was never sure why everyone was as impressed with it as they were. It's a good game...but not the best thing ever...it's kinda repetitive...

In terms of it's genre it's probably the best there is. That's why it's so popular, of course it will get repetetive though, all dungeon-crawlers do at some point I suppose... though I've never tired of Diablo or Diablo II...

This is pretty sweet, especially since they revamped Battle.net to allow you to download the games so long as you've got the CD keys. If only the battle chest wasn't $40...

Of course it's still goin'. Why pay $12 a month for WoW when you can play D2 for a one-time payment (for the discs) as much as you want, and get a much better game?

One thing I want to see in this patch: whatever they did to allow D2 Classic ti play without the disc, do that for LoD. Other than that, maybe a few more sets and runes, possibly strengthening the skulls and sapphires some...I understand, they have to be a little weaker than the rest of the gems, what with their special effects (life/mana regen and freeze), but emeralds are pretty damn powerful, and they inflict poison...

Also, if anyone here plays, PM me. I've got accounts on West and East, and I need a reliable party to level my East pally. He's way behind my West, mainly because I have allies on West that I can rely on to aid me, rather than PKers and noobs.
