I just dabble in Anime but I think School Rumble is so funny. You'd like it if you find dumb humor to be funny. It lacks complete common sense but it doesn't need any! :P

I've been trying to find a website where I can watch all of the seasons online, but I haven't found much luck yet. I'll let you know if I do!

And I don't know if you have Comcast On Demand but they have a few School Rumble episodes up under The Cutting Edge>Anime Selects>New Releases

The first episode of the new season of Minami-Ke, Okaeri. I'm really, really pleased. Unlike the utter.. ugh.. I don't even know what was wrong with the second season.. Well, unlike the crappy second season, this season is off to a great start! The new director must know what he's doing.

The art style is like a mix between the first and second seasons. Still not as good as the first's, but it's close after you get used to it.

I'm happy it's back to the laid-back, fun watch that Minami-Ke is supposed to be. They did a really good job reintroducing everyone and I didn't get bored at all. I'm happy~

I know exactly how you feel. I get halfway through a bad game/show/movie/book and think to myself, "I've already spent a lot of time getting to this point, so I might as well just keep going." It's hard to just leave something unfinished when you've already devoted a good chunk of time and energy to it.

Minami-Ke Okaeri Episode 2

Absolutely hilarious. This season is seriously bringing back the fun that made Season 1 so awesome (though it'd take a lot to get to season 1's level of awesome). Hosaka was so funny this episode, especially the whole curry piano daydream and everything. I was cracking up so bad during his song.

Gundam Wing? It's okay. Definitely on the lower tier of Gundam shows. Of course, I'm a UC fag.

Wing does have some good mecha designs, though. The Oz units are awesome. I don't like the Gundams in the show, though. I hate themed designs.

I have just watched more Sailor Moon R...which means...MORE SCREENCAPS!

Ali and En were successful in reviving The Doom Tree by sapping Usagi and Mamoru...

But were confused when they learned of the tree's true intentions...when it almost killed them both...

But ultimately...The Doom Tree was cleansed...Ali and En went off in search of a place of peace...(Good thing too...cause they were 2 seconds away from killing Sailor Moon...she was literally powerless against them)

Mamoru got his memory back...and the identity of the Moonlight Knight has been revealed!

Since that villain arc is over...that can only mean one thing....

CHIBIUSA IS ON THE WAY!!

Now caught up with all shows for anime club. I was on episode 14 of all shows except for Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Kaiba.

Code Geass: Mao is crazy, to say the least.

Soul Eater: No plot advancement, but it sure was entertaining to watch all the characters study for exams at Shibusen. I wish I could make a giraffe using crayons and exam papers.

Kaiba: Episode 2 wouldn't play. Besides, I saw it last semester before it was dropped temporarily to make room for Haibane Renmei.

CLANNAD: *insert Alucard's crybaby Usagi badge here*

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei: Insane, as usual.

More Sailor Moon R!

As I mentioned before...Chibi-usa showed up. And in dramatic fashion...she fell from the sky...quite literally...

But these were a series of VERY GOOD episodes. Lots of great humor...lots of great drama...and even a great fight! Sailor Moon vs Koan rocked.

But the important dramatic moments were the key areas...

Look at this picture...and tell me your heart just doesn't sink...

You kids and your new stuff...

Open your mind and try something you wouldn't normally try! So it looks "Girly"...is that a bad thing?

But that episode was horribly depressing...he broke up with her! But only as a means of protecting her from a disaster he keeps seeing in visions. (It involves them being together...so if he isn't with her, it can't happen right?) But he can't tell her that...so she thinks he hates her....and he (as much as he doesn't want to) has to leave it that way...

...You can't tell me you don't feel for the girl? Their future together was destiny dammit!

I don't see anything wrong with new shows. There have been a lot of great stuff released in the last three years, like Gurren Lagann, Baccano, Soul Eater, Macross Frontier, and so on.

I need to find vol 6 of Tsubasa Chronicle. Maybe I should order it online if I can't find it in stores. As much as I object to Bee Train's handling of the series, it's not bad at all. I think part of it has to do with me loving the manga. The anime paces at a very slow pace. I mean...it takes 52 episodes to cover the first 14 volumes. I can only handle so many pan shots in one episode. At least the show has a great dub, even if some of the lines get changed around from the original Japanese script. Also, Yuki Kajiura and Maaya Sakamoto for the win.

I really want to get to the Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations OVAs. It covers the Tokyo Arc and Bee Train didn't work on OVA series, so it should be good.

Having watched Tsubasa, I was familiar with a lot of the characters. I was thrown off by Yukito's voice at first. Later, I found out that his voice was done by Megumi Ogata, the same voice actress for Shinji Ikari in the Japanese version of Eva. After sitting through most of the first season of Tsubasa Chronicle, I have to say that the pacing is really good. Cardcaptor Sakura looks and sounds great.

Watched Gungrave 2 last night. Since no one has posted anything in Recently Read, I'll say that I finished xxxHolic vol 10 last night. After taking time off Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle to catch up with xxxHolic, I'm now starting Tsubasa vol. 18 You should read Tsubasa and xxxHolic at the same time if you want to make sense of the plot, especially later on in both series.

I'm thinking about rewatching Le Chevalier D'Eon. I was only able to find the first two DVDs back when ADV still had the license. I remember reading about the show in Newtype USA before the magazine shut down along with most of ADV. This show has the same director as the one for the Rurouni Kenshin TV anime and OVAs. It looks great and if you like anime with a flavor of history, I recommend checking it out. I know Heiae has already seen Le Chevalier D'Eon, as he wrote about it in a 1up blog.

Since I'm sick, I'll be watching a lot of Cardcaptor Sakura tonight. I already watched 10 and 11 this afternoon.

I finished the Gunsmith Cats manga last night. Honestly, the manga should have ended after the second Goldie arc. You have a lot of great action scenes and so many plot twists that grab your attention. It isn't my favorite arc, but you couldn't ask for a better one. Unfortunately, the arc that comes after the return of Goldie is anti-climatic. Rally and May have to stop a bunch of counterfeiters. Seriously? Gunsmith Cats was a lot of fun to read, but it lost steam near the end.

Another episode of Sailor Moon R. This was the silly interlude episode. They went on vacation as the summer is winding down. Chibi-usa after going for a swim gets pulled out by the tide and lost at sea...where she finds a dinosaur. (I couldn't make that up)

Befriending this dinosaur...they are both put in danger when the island volcano erupts...can the Sailor Senshi find them in time? The ending was kinda phoned in...but it's the silly break episode...so it can get away with that...but like most silly episodes...it's a last time to mellow out before things get serious. And the next episode preview promises just that.

Rubius...so far unsuccessful in KILLING "The Rabbit" (Chibi-usa) by attacking her and the crystal points by sending one of his minions after them...has now apparently decided to send his entire entourage after her. It's up to the Sailor Senshi and a still somewhat estranged Tuxedo Mask to protect her. And will Rubius' intentions and Chibi-usa's true purpose finally be revealed?

Some shit is probably about to hit the fan....

But to lighten the mood...Here is a part of the intro to the dinosaur episode...it made me giggle for a little while...rather then what she might normally say about punishing the villain...she promises...TO PLAY WITH THE CUTE DINOSAUR!

Soul Eater 19: Lots of fighting. Yay.

Clannad 19: Tomoya runs away from home. Okazaki gets his ass kicked like usual. No random Fuko appearance this time.

Code Geass 19: A deserted island episode with actual plot advancement? That's unheard of in anime!

Patrick got a god-tier ending. I love Patrick so much.

When Ribbons' mobile suit turned into a Gundam, I was like OH HECK YEAH!

Oh man, I loved it when Setsuna got back the Exia. It's my favorite 00 Gundam. The fight with the 0 Gundam was great. It had some really cool throwbacks. Plus, the 0 Gundam looked awesome in that RX-78 paint job!!

I wish Graham would have showed up in the end, but all he did was appear behind Billy in the epilogue. But, hey, at least he's cast off that bullcrap Mr. Bushido persona and has returned to his true self!

Well, he better return in the movie with a new badass FLAG!!

I predicted that the cockroach known as the "immortal colasour" would end up marrying Mannequin...But I sorta liked that he did.

And during the final battle, I was like, HO CRAP!!! NEW SCHOOL VS. OLD SCHOOL!!!! Also....is it just me....or were all the fake innovators androgynous men/woman that weren't attracted to anybody??

But either way...I'm happy it set up for a film, cause Graham and that whole "MISTA BUSHIDO!!!" bullcrap just stunk the place up. Will he return to defeat setsuna in the flag he first set out towin in??? or will he fail yet again due to his weak body??

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the ending...to a very good gundam series.

watched the end of jyu oh sei though, it was okay, worth the 20 bucks I spent on the whole thing. Even though the ending was crazy and a little rushed, it was still enjoyable.

Currently switched to watching Shigurui...which is incredibly...and disturbingly violent.
