I recently downloaded Penny-Arcade on the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness for $14.99 and let me say, totally worth it. The game was great right up to the end, groin licking cats, hobo stew, satanic mimes, the game has it all. Any of you with PS3's you should definitely check it out.
However I warn you, if your aspiring for all the trophies, know that when you beat the last boss it saves automatically after you beat him, and you can't do anything with that save. So make sure you get everything you can before then, and don't die or use healing items in the last boss battle if your going for 100% completion. I did not know this, and one of my guys died during the fight, and naturally I revived him thinking I could just reload my save from before the fight later so I will have to start again... that is after I beat Episode 2!
I've wanted to try this out for a while...I remember reading a comparison between the console and PC versions, and I think it said the gameplay was different. Has anyone played both?

Could you just get an EB Gift Card and order them off the website?

I wanted to try this game, but wasn't sure if it was worth it. Thanks for the review. Now I might just have to purchase it.

Yeah I definitely recommend it, I spent roughly 25-30 hours on the game so you get two hours of play out of a dollar, that's better than any arcade machines.
Huh, that's a really good way of looking at it too... I'm insightful. :neko_064:

Your still ordering online. Just a different website. Just bring the cards already!

I just figure this way you can go to the store and buy their website card. Then use that to get PSN cards, though your ordering online you don't need a credit card or anything, because you paid cash for the gift card.

A devious tactic...it just might work.
And Knight...here's the article I was talking about:

A surprising revelation is the gameplay in On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One is dramatically different between both versions of the game. The console gameplay is comparable to traditional turn-based RPGs (eg. console Final Fantasy) where movement is dedicated to the left-analog stick and each face button is responsible for the game's various commands (attack, special attack, inventory menu, summon).
The PC version control is more akin to classic action titles (eg. Diablo) where clicking on the world will direct your party to the position selected. However, the title suffers on the PC from a lack of keyboard support. Typically in modern games you can click on an area to move your character, or use the arrow or WASD keys for the same effect, this is not an option in Episode One.

If the Battle Chest wasn't still $40 I would.

I couldn't get in to Precipice when I tried the demo... Maybe because I'm not that into Penny Arcade's sense of humor.

Never bought it. If I owned it, I probably would.

Meh, screw that. Just read 'em. I did, they were actually pretty clever. Why can't they all be clever like that? I'm afraid I still won't be visiting PA regularly, because I know 90% of their comics aren't that funny.

The only one I read was the bonus strip I got for collecting all 12 pieces of concept art in TRSPOD. :) I do think I'll try reading more though... I'm quite certain that Jim is an inside joke. lol @ Resident Evil, Star Wars, and Mario ones.
