We always list what we want to get for Christmas, but in the spirit of giving, what are you getting others?
My brother:
He likes that Law and Order SVU TV show, so I'm getting him the DVD sets. Well, as many as I can afford between now and Christmas. I have Seasons 1 and 2 already on route.
My other Brother:
For a graphic designer (who just bought Skyrim) he just doesn't have proper equipment for either of those things. So I've decided to rectify that. He needs a new Graphics card and a decent monitor. (He's using an 19 inch 4:3 LCD I got for $20 when Compusa Closed) But his Power Supply is old and won't support any modern AWESOME GPU, so I've already started and have a new Power Supply for him.

For the Graphics card I want to get something with 2GB for his graphics work, so I was thinking this (I'm just waiting till after Friday when all the sales start):

I'm still shopping around for a monitor. Hopefully I can get something with a Display port on it so he can use ATI Eyefinity to have 3 displays (and room to work) and it won't cost me a kidney to do it. (New Monitor, Old Monitor, and Wacom Tablet) We shall see.
I already went in on a gift for my dad. Some fancy ass do it all wrench that I have no idea how it works and a camera battery.
My mum is a bit harder to shop for, but I think I'll get an idea.

Your getting something for your boss? Must be a good boss.
That knife holder is...interesting. Though I wonder how people will react when they just see that in his house. Is he the one where your going to wrap it in some demented way? I nominate "Put it in a box of spiders."

I only buy for my daughters anymore...and money is a bit tight this year. We are getting them a new TV for their playroom because the one we bought 2 years ago got fried when we had a bad storm roll through labor day weekend and lost power the entire weekend (yea, totally sucks). We wanted to get them their own individual TVs, but we're poor folk:P Probably get them each a DS and wii game and mostly clothes because they have so much damn stuff already.
Corey got his present early-some collector edition Assassin's Creed Revelation game and book. Poor Ezio aged horribly:/ but ol' boy can still jump from buildings, go figure

He is. He is also a connoisseur of silly T-shirts. Last year I got him this one (http://www.topatoco.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TO&Product_Code=RB-FIRE&Category_Code=RB).

Yes it is. The plan this year is to freeze his gift in a block of ice. I'm going to wrap the knife holder like normal and stick it behind the shed in the backyard. Then I'm going to put a note inside an empty DVD case, stick in in one of those cheapo styrofoam coolers you can get at WalMart for $5, fill it with water, and stick it in the freezer until it's frozen solid. He'll have to open it on the back porch either by tossing it against the ground repeatedly or ripping away the styrofoam and chipping away at it. (Or just waiting around until it melts, but where's the fun in that?) The note inside the case will just say "Look behind the shed." Then he'll get his gift.

If you don't have the DVD case already, I'd suggest either getting/faking a case for something REALLY awesome or something REALLY bad (I'm sure you could get a printout of highlander 2: the sequel that was never needed to fit in a dvd case)
Or if you want to fake a game, totally make it look like Devil Kings. Never have I seen a more worthless piece of shit than that game and said "I must beat this, to warn all others."

If I can't find a single blank DVD case (since apparently they only come in packs), I'll probably just use the case for Overlord: Dark Legend. It will be even funnier because that's the game he got me for Christmas last year.

that WOULD be brilliant.
I normally just remove the crappy generic case art for games I bought cheap at a certain establishment (all one times I've had reason to remove the art), but I can get how that wouldn't work for people who don't shop there.

I bought a gift for my ma today. As some of my less considerate siblings have a tendency to screw up holidays/birthdays for her, I figured I better do something awesome. So I just spent $300 on a bracelet. It's Sterling silver with alternating Sapphira/Diamond pattern. Most money I've spent all on one thing in a long time.

Some of my family members have decided that, in the spirit of the holiday, they don't want any gifts this year. Which, on the one hand, I like giving so that's kind of sad. On the other hand, my family is huge (and thanks to my fiancee, getting bigger), so any relief to my wallet is always appreciated.
Anyway, as of right now:
Me Familia
Mom
Some worship/gospel CDs. And probably this neat book I saw from Curtis Chapman.
Step-dad
He's said he doesn't want a gift, but he also didn't seem dead set on this fact, so I'm thinking I might get him a New England Patriot's shirt.
Dad
The hardest man to shop for, so I just get him Home Depot gift cards. That's all he ever asks for anyway.
Older brother #1
Blue Planet DVD set. His GF won't be here this year, but I figured I'd at least get her a card.
Older brother #2, wife and niece
I figured I'd get him the book To Hell and Back (grant you, he's a marine, and the story is about an army soldier's account, but it still sounds fascinating as all get out), his wife the second book in the Hunter Games trilogy, and my niece some Megabloks.
Older brother #3 and his fiancee
He specifically requested me to not give him any gifts, so, he won't get one. He'll still get a card though, because I don't care who you are, not having anything under the tree is lame. I figured I'd give his fiancee a BBQ recipe book and a tool apron, since, frankly, she loves to BBQ and is superior to my brother at it in every conceivable way (a fact he readily admits).
Older brother #4
Vol. 5 of Atomic Robo and this fun sounding TPB called Driver for the Dead
Me new Familia
Fiancee
She's getting the engagement ring, along with a carriage ride and a trip to a musical.
Mother in-law
We'd talked about getting her some wooden serving bowls, which she's wanted for a while. Of course, they're also PRICEY, so we'll see.
Father in-law[/B]
I have no idea. I was thinking a cover for his Kindle, but I'm starting to think they already did that for him.
[I]Brother in-law #1, wife and niece-in-law
Man, I don't even know. The lil' baby is still pretty young, so I'm thinking Veggie Tales DVD. Or something. I don't even know what to get him or his wife though (but rest assured, it's gonna be a gift for both of them. I ain't mades of money).
Brother in-law #2
I'm thinking a video game, but I couldn't tell you which one. He likes FPSes, so the newest Modern Battlefield gritty-shooter whatever seems like the obvious choice, but those are still kinda pricey (and since other then my fiancee, none of my immediate family is getting a gift over $25, I'm hesitant to do the opposite for him). I'm thinking maybe Crysis 2 since that's pretty new and well-liked. But I might get him God of War II...I just don't remember if he has that one or not.
Grand folks in-law #1
See, this is new territory for me. My grand parents were dead or otherwise senile before I even had a job, so I've never had to buy them gifts before. Ashley is pretty close to these grand parents, so I suspect we'll have to get them a gift of some sort. Again, not sure what yet though.
Grand folks in-law #2
Ashley isn't as close, and a Christmas card seems to be the norm for them. That seems kinda sad, but on the other hand, those are easy to afford.

I know. I'm kinda glad we're not going all out this year. Otherwise I'd be flat-out broke by the end of Christmas.

I'm pretty broke right now. Exactly why is that?
Well my brother ended up buying an extendable arm for his tablet to attach to his desk, which combined with him (somehow) running Skyrim on top settings on his wildly underpowered PC has caused me to scrap my original gift idea. So instead I bought him this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/250932031733?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Only 1 of 1,250. Pretty sweet. And I have enough statues and boxes for statues lying around that I've hidden in in plain sight. (This thing is HUGE by the way) Coupled with that bracelet...I'm broke for awhile. BUT that's okay, I only have one more person to shop for and I still have one check before X-mas.
