For the uninitiated, the name comes from old MS-DOS(?) game Rogue, a dungeon crawler in the same vein as Diablo or Baldur's Gate, but turn-based, and with a catch: you die, your save file gets deleted (though there's ways around this, they're unreliable and can corrupt your save). It's harsh, but it also forces you to think about the pros and cons of every little action. Currently still in development, but other than a few little flaws here and there (the story is pretty weak, and Petra Sewers is essentially a (thankfully optional) suicide area), it's a real neat diversion.
