So I just got back from some minor work at the dentist's and the whole left half of my face is numb, it's pretty awesome.
My dad once had a wisdom tooth pulled by a tiny third-world dentistry indian women. She literally had her knee on his chest yanking on the thing and he was grabbing her wrists helping her try to get the damn thing out.
Any of you guys have fun dental stories? Dental horror stories? Post 'em if ya got 'em.

For my wisdom teeth, the dentist couldn't take out one of them, so he began to crunch it. Yeah. At least that's wit sounded like.

lol, doesn't sound good. Did he wind up leaving any chunks of tooth in there?
I'm gonna have all 4 of mine pulled at the same time next month.

They took all four of mine at the same time also. It's not as bad as you think it is.
You'll have headache for days thought.

I've never had a bad dental experience. I've always gone out of my way to be nice to the dentists, a trend which started after my mother complained about rude customers (working for the Alaska railroad) and I decided that I wouldn't be that kind of person.
And it's spelled Novocaine. Novacaine is part of a song title.

Nova is such a cool word though. :( lol I never knew that, I've always spelled it novacaine, although how often does the average person have to spell novocaine anyway? That's actually an interesting question...

Nope, don't have any interesting dental stories. I had braces for four years. That's all.

Everybody should be required to work retail or other customer service -based jobs for at least one year. It should be a LAW. People would be so much more civil to each other.
Song title spelled wrong? How about Novacane by Beck?

I remember when I got all of my wisdom teeth cut out in one day, I felt pretty fine once I got home... In fact, I put Gears of War in and kicked some pretty good ass.

guh...all this talk about about dentist offices makes me remember of how I used to think that the x ray machine was gonna shoot garbage into my face.

Speaking of X-ray's. Don't you guys hate the taste of that thing that you have to bite onto before they take the xray? Damn thing is so huge it's hard to bite on it.

Ugh, yeah. Those things are a pain in the butt. I think my least favorite part about visiting the dentist is the polish at the end; it just feels so dang gritty, you know? What's the point of cleaning my teeth if you're just going to get them all gritty at the end with that gritty gritty polish?
Honestly, though, I have very healthy teeth and have never had a bad experience at the dentist's office. I've never even had a cavity before!
Have fun getting those Wisdom teeth pulled, Robo. It's a real barrel of monkeys, I tell ya.

Ugh, I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled at the start of Feb vacation, how long did it take you guys to feel fine again after having yours pulled? Just a day or a few?

A day or two should be enough. When I got mine pulled, I was able to go to work the next day. You'll have some chipmunk cheeks for a good three or four days, but the swelling goes down eventually.

if I have chipmunk cheeks I might not even want to leave... that's just bad for self-esteem. :|

All the cool kids will act all nice to you when they see you, but they'll secretly point and laugh at your chipmunk cheeks when your back is turned.
Screw the cool kids.
