One of the attachments contains a list (with pictures!) of top anime of all time (believed by many). Check to see how many have you seen.

The other attachment shows the ones I've seen (color-coded for personal use).

Right-click on the attachment > Open new Tab or Open new Window for full-size.

No Fullmetal Alchemist? That's kind of strange. Just about everyone loves that show.

Where, exactly, did this list come from, anyway? I mean, "top anime of all time (believed by many)" is kind of vague, you know? Details, man!

I've only seen 4 of those. Most of the other ones, I never finished it.

Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga Daioh, Samurai Champloo, and Samurai X Reflections (Rurouni Kenshin.)

It's been on my computer for a while now... I forgot where it came from =/

We should manually add FMA to that list. No Afro Samurai either.

Well...I don't put much stock in the opinions of others...

But there is a few I trust...they know who they are...it's an exclusive list...

I've actually seen more than half of those on there.

Two things they absolutely got right are Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Toward the Terra.

My list would look a good bit different, though. I mean, come on, NONOHA? Really? Ugh.

I should add Excel Saga to the list. It's the best comedy anime I've ever seen.

guh...I've seen most of them, I'm happy that they gave props to now and then, here an there, for that was epic.

Darker than black was badass...until the ending, which left me a bit disappointed.

As for other shows....many of them I have not yet seen, or have only watched one or two episodes of it.

hmmm...they also mention beck and mushishi!!!! WHICH BOTH ROCK HARD!!!

I guess I'm the only one around here who liked Wolf's Rain.

I guess I'm the only one around here who liked Wolf's Rain.

No, I did. It just got really odd and slow sometimes.

It didn't need the four recap episodes, which almost killed the pacing for me. Thankfully, it didn't.

I'll always remember the walrus fight.

I liked the first half of Wolf's Rain.

Nice list. Im having some trouble reading the first nine series in top row. Its cut off in firefox for me and the list wont even open in IE8. I dont like bumping older topics but could someone post or pm me with names of the animes in the top row. TIA

P.S. I cant beleive Eureka Seven (Psalms of Planets) made it in there. Imo, its pretty bad.
Keep hearing about "Aria" though. Might check it out after "Noein."

Eureka 7 is awesome. The pacing gets wonky sometimes, but the animation is absolutely gorgeous and it has a lot of awesome moments.

Noein is awesome as well. Really awesome. The art direction for it is pretty unique, and looks a little wild. I love it.

Let's see I've seen...6 of those. And I agree with Rubicant, I also think Eureka 7 sucks :)

I don't put much stock in that list. There's practically nothing pre-1990's. Some great shows there. I'm glad to see Basilisk get some love.

Cheers for that. Even opens up in another tab ;)
Id also be interested if u ever find out the source for that list.

Ive seen about 9 series from that list of which i really enjoyed
Akagi, Samurai champloo and Basilisk. Basilisk story was kind of weak but
it had great characters and fight scenes. I keep seeing Guran Lagann and
Bacano pop up on the radar so i ll keep them in mind.

@Heaie
I tried to give Eureka seven a chance. Watched about 6 eps but just couldnt
get past the emo teens riding around on air equivalent snowboards and the
generic mech battles. I know the series is rated highly on a couple review
boards but maybe im just getting too old lol. I preferred its funkier equivalent,
FLCL.

Oh, it definitely has a slow start. And even then, it doesn't click with everyone. Heck, it didn't click with me originally.. but..

Generic mech battles?! You must not like mecha shows. E7 has some of the most beautifully animated action sequences I've ever seen.

Also.. what does it have in common with FLCL..? It's not even animated by the same studio.

Yes mechs .

Their awsome.

Some on code geass look cool and have lasers.

Zoids have many variation on what the look like as well as weapons.

Gundam yes gundam Thats what the entire series is about actually (I especially Like G fighter because the control what the gundam does wit thier own body movements instead of just sitting in a cockpit)

And then theirs IGPX a racind/fighting mech show.

Why am I Listing mech shows?

:neko_104:Yes! It is funny as hell and should have made it. I'm finishing the series right now. I love Minchie!:D

From that list I have seen:
Escaflowne
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo (best OST of all time)
Azumanga Daioh
Kaleido Star
FLCL
and Ruronin Kenshin aka Samurai X

The only one I don't agree with is Evangelion... I just don't like it for some reason. Am I weird?

I've seen like.... 4 of those. And since there's no Giant Robo on the list I say it's full of fail. :D

Anyway...I usually list Cowboy Bebop as my most favorite show. Though some top others, in no particular order....

Tenchi Muyo!
Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
Ranma 1/2
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Kodomo No Omocha
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Trigun
Cardcaptor Sakura

Lesee, on this list I've seen...

-Neon Genesis Evangelion (which I also never really liked but eh, whatever)
-Cowboy Bebop
-Outlaw Star (greatest anime...really?)
-Vision of Escaflowne
-FLCL
-Trigun
-Azumanga Diaoh (eh...not my thing)
-Raxephon
-Full Metal Panic: FUMOFU
-Now and Then, Here and There
-Nadescio
-Monster
-Samurai Champloo
-Ergo Proxy
-Gurren Lagan (again...not my thing)
-Wolf's Rain
-Samurai X

That all being said, while many of these animes are excellent, this list lacks One Piece, so f**k it.
