My home page is yahoo.com (pathetic, I know).

I see the heading "Super Mario Dethroned" (http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/wii-sports-is-best-selling-game-ever/1276855) and proceed to click on it.

According to the article, Wii Sports is now the best-selling game of all time.
The source? VGchartz (which I've heard, is NOT a good source of information for market figures).

My question to you foxkei, isn't Wii Sports prepackaged with each Wii?

My other question is, was Super Mario Bros. prepackaged with NES? I can't remember this.

I was thinking the market figures might be inflated because of being bundled with each individual Wii unit.

Yup, it's not an accurate data.

The Wii is the most sold console in history and all of them came with Wii Sports (except Japan territory), so it's not fair to compare it to other games.

It's like saying Wii-mote is the most successful controller ever.

Which brings up the question: who would buy this game off shelves when you get it pre-packed with the console?

Besides, this is the only game "casual players" (read: your parents and all the grannies) can play, so of course it's gonna sell well.

Both were packaged with the console.

As far as I know, no data is 100% accurate anyway.

It doesn't really matter what is the best selling game of all-time.

It's what IS the Best game of all-time that is important.

Yeah...I don't buy this. It's packaged with the console...that doesn't count...
