I haven't tested this out yet but according to reddit.com (http://www.reddit.com/r/PS3/comments/aytd2/get_the_heavy_rain_demo_early_today/) it works.

Instructions (taken from source link above):
Go here:
Try putting "US" in place of "GB" in the URL of the registration form, i.e.:
http://heavyrainps3.com/registration/signup/en_US
Register with that and then go to the Precinct 52 page and log in with the account that I made there. It will give you a code that will work on a US PSN account.
OR
If you want to create a dummy account and do it that way, here's how:
1. Create a new user on your PS3.
2. Open the PlayStation store and try to enter a redemption code.
3. It will ask you to sign up for an account. Do so and choose Ireland as your country (why not?).
4. Fill in all appropriate fields. When you get to address just put "1234 Broadway" for Address 1 and "Dublin" for City. Leave State blank, obviously.
5. Continue through the account creation, blah blah, you'll get an email if you put in an email address that you actually own, but you don't need it.
6. Once you're signed in you'll see the "Sony Computer Entertainment Europe" page instead of "Sony Computer Entertainment America".
7. Put in your code you got from the website and voila, you're good to go. Let it download (it's about 1.7 gigs).
8. After it's finished downloading you can sign off, delete that user from your PS3, and sign back into your main account. Install the demo and you're set.
Precinct 52 answers:
Short cigarette (117b)
• Origami bird
• Coffee shop C (it says “diner”)
• 117h (tyre tracks).
Enjoy!
