Mnemosyne DVD has arrived! Pictures after the jump.
I pre-ordered this boxset a while ago from Amazon.com and totally forgot about it. Got this email a few days ago, notifying me that my package has been shipped. It was a nice surprise.
Gotta hand it to Funimation and Showgate, this is perhaps the best boxset packaging I have seen. The cover itself has a very nice, soft feel to it. And they used a great artwork. Back-cover looks very professional, too. Check out the official website for trailer, wallpapers, and a few clips.
The only complain I have is about the second DVD cover where Eipos is carrying Rin in her wedding dress. It gives the wrong impression. There are ton of other official art they could have used, but alas, they chose this because it’s related to the final episode.
Another cool thing Funimation did was to include this little pamphlet in the box. It lists the upcoming shows and their release dates; very informative. I already decided to get Kanon boxset, Strike Witches, and Evangelion 1.11 You Are [Not] Alone (on Blu-Ray!) thanks to this.

Haha. I know. This is one the most gruesome anime next to Elfen Lied.
Have you watched Kara no Kyoukai, Jay? This show reminds me of that.
How is Strike Witches? I have it sitting on my HDD, but have yet to watch it. I heard good things about it, so I’m really curious.

yeah, but the deaths in Elfen Lied didn’t make me flinch at call. the deaths in Mnemosyne was in a whole other ballpark, lol. i have about 4 episodes of Kara no Kyoukai in my computer, only seen the first 2 though.
i actually liked Strike Witches. i picked it up when of the series i was watching around the time just finished. i was surprised that i would like it so much. i heard a few accounts online that didn’t enjoy it as much because of all the bloomer shots, lol

It looked like they threw a bunch of anime genres together (mecha, yuri, loli, etc) and came up with Strike Witches… but I guess it worked. Haha.
Heeeeey, how come you’re not blogging! Getting lazy, are we? ;]

I actually saw this in a banner ad while looking for something else not a week ago! It looked interesting so I wikied it and favorited the page so I can go back and look into it later…
I hope it’s good! (I’m not all skirts, transformations and silliness you know…just mostly…)
