Bakemonogatari first impression: I like it. Pictures after the jump.
Another SHAFT production! Yay~ As you can tell by the screenshots, it’s got SHAFT’s unique style. I couldn’t begin to tell you what the anime is about (crazy vampires girl?), but this is one show I’m definitely going to watch just because of the animation.

K-On! I gotta finish that show. It’s one of those feel-good anime, huh.
What else did you watch last season? Did you see “Eden of the East”? It’s sitting on my computer, but I don’t want to invest time on it if it’s not worth it. Do you know anything?
Bakemonogatari is great. It’s funny too. I don’t want to spoil too much, but there is a FMA related scene that cracked me up in episode one.
BTW, have you been watching the new season of Haruhi? Even though the past 4-5 episodes were repetitive, I still find them amusing. I don’t know how much longer they can keep that up before people start complaining though.

-Adding to the to be watched list- That animation is awesome. I find it really hard to watch an anime if I don’t like the animation. -cough- Naruto/Trigun -cough-

i have heard of “Eden of the East” and i heard some good things about it but i’ve never actually seen an episode of it myself.
i’ve seen the first episode of Bakemonogatari. i don’t watch a lot of FMA so i probably didn’t catch the scene you’re talking about. Senjougahara’s insulting comments amuse me, lol. don’t leave banana peels all over the place =)
there’s actually a few groups out there that are already complaining about the repeats. i’m actually starting to get a little sick of it, haha. so hopefully it’ll make progress next episode

@Lady
I hear you. I’m the same way. I don’t mind the BS story as long as the animation is good. But other way around… not so much.
@Skye
The FMA joke was when she talked about “Equivalent Exchange” and “Copper, 40g; Zinc, 25g; Nickel, 15g; Hiding embarrassment, 5g;”.
About Haruhi… ‘progress’ sounds good! But I don’t see that happening. Guess they’re following the manga to the bone! If I’m not mistaking… this arc is called “Endless Eight”, so 3 more repeats? o.O

Eden of the East is great. The intrigue is awesome, with lots of mysteries and questions running throughout. The romance stuff is okay, too. Watch a few episodes and see how you feel about it, Fox. That’s the best way to go about feeling out a show before you really invest a lot of time.
As for Bakemonogatari.. damn, the animation is beautiful. I also don’t have a flying flip what is going on.. but hey!

Also, this Haruhi repeating stuff is being stretched out far longer than the novel. It didn’t last THAT long in the book. Kadokawa is just being a bitch, not wanting to actually animate a second season yet.
Endless Eight is supposed to have only one more episode, though. I think I heard they had Kyoani produce 8, but they’re only going to air 6 before it’s resolved.. probably because of the backlash.

I’m surprised you know about Eden. o_O I watched two episodes and it didn’t have any loli in it. Now, Haruhi season two… that’s understandable because of Kyon’s sister.
What else are you watching this season?

Hahaha!
I don’t really know what I’m going to stick with this season.. but..
I checked out Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. The first episode of that was pretty good, so I might keep watching it. Can’t go wrong with Bones animation.
Canaan was good, I thought. Haven’t watched past the first episode of it but it was definitely visually impressive. Good action too. Seems interesting.
Other than that, though.. Eh.. Princess Lover was surprisingly decent considering it’s based off a Hentai game. The first episode was pretty entertaining, with a lot of action and smooth animation. The second episode seems to start typical high-school harem stuff, though, so I’ll see how it goes.

Having just finished the first season of Haruhi a few days ago, I’m going to hold off from watching the second season until I hear more things about it. That or when Endless Eight ends.
For now…I’m going to watch Umineko and anything else I have on my anime list.
