DJMax – Fever. This Korean game has been out since over a year ago, but the North American version, a combinatino of the first two games that were released in Korea only is finally here! Package review, after the jump.

Let’s start with the cover: it’s beautiful. Captures the essence of the game. One look, and you know what it’s all about. Anime looking girl should give you a good idea regarding the music that’s used in this game. You’re not gonna get Guitar Hero or Rock Band junk here! (No offense) No, here, it’s all about techno and trance music! I’m so glad PM:STUDIOS didn’t try to “localize” the game by inserting Western music into this game. I sure has hell don’t want to play this with the music I hear on the radio. Ok, back to the review.

Back cover: your typical back-cover. Recently, I’ve noticed a lot of publisher put everything in Spanish and some other languages. Even ESRP stuff is written in Spanish and French (I think). Speaking of languages, it’s funny how it took them so long to release this game in the States. Having played the original Korean games, I can tell you that everything was in English. All the menus, text, and even the dude who says “4 buttons for da beginna!”.

DJMax opened up. Nothing special, but the cover is quite eye-catching, no?

Beautiful booklet cover. Ok, time to open up this bad boy (girl?).

Oh… my… GOD! It’s in color! *tears* Thank you, PM:STUDIOS. Thank you. It’s nice to see there are still publishers that pay attention to all the details.

My only complaint: there is no inside-cover :[ This game has all those beautiful drawings and artworks, so why not use them here?
