Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Is there anyone who HASN’T seen this show? I doubt it. Few years from now, this show will be on everyone’s “classic anime” list; along with other great shows such as Cowboy Bebop and Akira. If you haven’t watched this show yet, do yourself a favor and go do so right now. The epic-ness of this anime pierces through the heavens!
The Gurren DVD’s were available since July, but they only contained the episodes and English subtitles. I would have bought those, but after seeing some TV-DVD comparison shots [ 1 , 2 , 3 ], I decided to wait. Plus, I’m a sucker for extra goodies you get (like Behind the Scenes or Cast Interview).
Gurren DVD Boxset contains the first two volumes (episodes 01-09).

Gurren Lagann is one of my favorite anime of all time. I loved it when I saw it in my anime club last year.
I’m not sure if I’m going to get the Gurren Lagann boxset, as I no longer buy anime DVDs as much as I used to. The TV-DVD comparisons may change my mind.

Not only have I not seen this show, I’ve never met anyone who’s heard of it or seen it. So… yeah.
